I know this is super late, but I wanted to do a post on my favorite memories from 2017 so I could go back and look at them and smile! 2017 was a great year and I know 2018 will be even better!
January was a great start to the year! I spent New Years with friends and my boyfriend and we had a giant sleepover that night after going out to look at fireworks to celebrate the new year. It was so so much fun. Then a few weeks later I went down to LA to visit one of my best friends Bridgette and stayed with her for five days exploring and seeing everything we could! It was perfect weather and a wonderful trip!
February was a wonderful month! Dante and I celebrated three years together and I worked an amazing wedding in San Francisco’s City Hall. The wedding didn’t turn out the way we hoped, but it was so much fun setting up and seeing how much work it takes for a wedding to come together in a day!
In March, I finally got around to DIY-ing some apartment decor (prints above my bed), and made homemade donuts with my best friend Gianna! We even made our own frostings too! I think the flavors were blueberry and lemon vanilla, but I can’t remember. But they were AMAZING, especially for non-donut experts.
April was probably my favorite month of the year. I started my first quarter at FIDM in San Francisco, and made the very best friends there (but we call each other #myfidmtribe if anyone was wondering). Dante and I also went on a beach retreat to Monterey for my 21st birthday, and we had a little weekend of relaxation and fun away from the city. It was truly my perfect birthday- no craziness, just massages, mimosas, the ocean, and lots of artichokes!
In May, Dante and I continued exploring the city, and I tried to blog a bit more. We went to new restaurant openings like Media Noche in the Mission District, and shot photos for my blog and Instagram.
June was so fun!! We got a puppy (thanks to my sister Sidney who somehow convinced our parents)! His name is Joey, and he is an adorable, loving, and excited little pup who loves dancing to music and giving hugs. The whole family (and everyone who meets him) loves him so much. Dante and I also spent the month exploring more of the city and going on long hikes down to the beach which was super fun!
July was fun because our family took our first vacation together in years! We went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was super hot but we had a great time riding camels, swimming in the Sea of Cortez, and scuba diving off boats in the ocean!
August was a blast. My friends finally were home and we all got to celebrate our 21st birthdays together on a night out in San Francisco. We ending up at an amazing burrito place in the mission around 2 am 🙂 Towards the end of August I also got to work another wedding with event planner Liz Horton at a beautiful home in Atherton. It was an amazing house to have a wedding and beautiful weather. I also got to catch up with one of my old roommates and friends from New York while she as visiting for a dance program! It was really an awesome month!
September was a crazy month. I started working as an intern for a videographer here in San Francisco, and I now shoot both her videos and photos for her social media accounts as well as run her account on Instagram. We went to the color factory which was much more fun that I would have expected, and we also experienced the hottest weather San Francisco has ever seen. The hottest it got was 104 which was a record. We were all dying, especially since most of the city doesn’t have air conditioning! I slept with frozen peas on my face for a few nights and thought I was actually going to die (I hate heat!).
October was awesome. Despite getting very sick at the end of the month, I went to visit my best friend Gianna in Oregon for Halloween weekend and got to truly experience college life. We went to some crazy fun bars and parties, I ran around my first fraternity house, we went to a tailgate and a football game, and finished our trip at the winery Gianna works at. It was a crazy yet amazing weekend to say the least. I also got to partner up with an amazing hair company called Briogeo, and worked with them on launching their latest product. It was is much fun.
November was hectic. I spent lots of time with family and friends which was great, but I was sick most of the month. One of my only memories from November (that wasn’t being sick) was going to the Ice Cream Museum. Surprisingly, it had pretty awful ice cream. But the place itself was super fun and interactive!
December was an amazing end to the year. I got to hang out with my sister, see Dante perform prince in the Nutcracker, and spend time at my parent’s house for Christmas. It was a perfect end to the year!
